Hello! My name is Ingrid Kellaghan and I’m the founder of Cambridge Nanny Group. Our commitment to helping children and families has been apparent since we opened our doors. I wanted to let everyone know a little bit about us. How we started, where we’re going, and our childcare philosophy. And I can’t think of anyone who’d be better at discussing quality childcare than my own children. So I asked my two daughters to help tell everybody the story of Cambridge Nanny Group.
“Mommy and daddy looked for my nanny when I was still in mommy’s tummy.”
Goo-Goo Ga-Ga
“Mommy talked to a lot of nanny agencies. Some expensive, some cheap. Some old, some new. But mommy didn’t find the service or kind of nanny she wanted and needed.”
Boo. Hiss
“The nanny boards on the internet had a lot of babysitters, but my parents were looking for a super nice nanny. And it takes a lot of time to look at all the nannies on the internet ,and mommy and daddy were real busy. She also said it didn’t feel safe because anyone can call themselves a nanny.”
Tick- Tock. Tick-Tock.
“Mommy is very picky.”
Eat your broccoli.

“She looked all around Chicago, which is this big city we live in, and mommy found her own nanny.”
Yeah!
“Then she found nannies for her friends because they also had a tough time finding great nannies.
Hip Hip Hurray!
Mommy just knew there were great nannies and families and somebody needed to help them meet each other…and video’s would be their first introduction to meeting.
Major super-duper Lightbulb moment! Mommy says in your 30′s life changes. My Bubbie and Grandma say life really starts humming in your 40′s.
“She left her fancy job where she worked in super tall high rise building to start her own nanny business.”
Gulp.
“She named the company after the name of her street she grew up in a small town on the sandy shores of Michigan. We visit there a lot and it’s really nice. We go swimming, and fishing, and hiking there. We go to the orchards and pick apples and cherries and blueberries. My hands always turn blue when I pick blueberries.”
Ok, My Mommy wants me to get back to the story.
“Mommy turned the sunroom in our home into her office. Her budget was small but her vision was big.”
“Thank you for calling Cambridge Nanny Group. How may I assist you?”
“More clients came so she moved into her own office in another building and worked 3 days a week. The business grew because of referrals and word of mouth and we did virtually zero advertising. Mommy says organic growth is the best.”
I like to ride the building’s elevator.
“Then more clients came so mommy moved into a bigger office and hired some people to help with all the business stuff.”
I even have my own desk when I visit.
“Mommy says it feels good to ‘do work that impacts a new generation of parents’ and she’s found her calling and that she works really hard and ‘pours her heart and soul into helping children and families.’”
“Mommy says that everyone who works at Cambridge Nanny feels the same way. Although mommy founded the company it’s the dedicated staff who have nurtured our growth.”
“It is our pleasure and honor to serve our client families, children, and caregivers.”
I hope you enjoyed my story of Cambridge Nanny Group! The End.
