Cambridge Nanny Group - Parenting with Presence

I’ve been drawn to mentors and teachers  who explore the overlap of spiritual principals with parenting . I believe the decision to be a mother is the choice to become one of the greatest spiritual teachers there is. To create an environment that’s comforting,  stimulating and nurturing, to pass on a sense of responsibility to another human being, to raise a child who understands that he or she is created from good and is capable of anything – there are few callings that are more honorable.

Navigating through the waters of parenthood is never easy, particularly if you are committed to do it well—and it’s rarely done without support.  This past year I discovered the work of Susan Stiffelman, the author of Parenting Without Power Struggles.   After I read the last page and closed the book I  had to contact Susan.    I was blown away by her wisdom and compassion and “rubber meets the road” advice to parents.  My question:  How can I help champion your work?      Turns out she was coming to Chicago to speak at the Union League Club.  Perfect!  We bounced around ideas on scheduling a speaking event  that was free or affordable for parents but as they say, timing is every thing.   We had a short window of time to plan (she’s one busy lady) and unfortunately my work/life schedule couldn’t make it happen during her visit….this time.   (Stay tuned.)

In the meantime I was soaking up her wisdom on her website and her Facebook page and her Huffinton Post Blog and growing, growing, growing.   Thank you Susan.

Turns out something bigger happened.  Little did I know Susan had imagined  this “big thing” for years, and worked on for hundreds hours to make her vision a reality.  Drum roll please….

I’d like to invite you to  register for an amazing, FREE online event with Suaan Stiffelman and some of the world’s leading experts on parenting!
